BCF6 Hair Expo: A Celebration of Black Hair Through the Decades
This year, the Hair Show at the Black Culture Festival is taking on a fresh new format—an expo, not a competition—focused on creativity, cultural pride, and timeless Black style.
In alignment with BCF6’s theme of fashion and self-expression, the Hair Expo invites local stylists and salons to showcase their skills by selecting an era in Black hair history—from the regal Afros of the '70s, to the bold styles of the '80s and '90s, to modern-day natural glam.
Stylists will bring their chosen era to life through live demos, curated looks, and on-site displays, celebrating the evolution and artistry of Black hair across generations. This is a space to educate, inspire, and honor the cultural significance of our hair. Come help us put our legacy, style, and innovation on full display. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE TO JOIN!!!
Whether you’re a stylist, natural hair lover, or someone who appreciates the power of a good twist-out, the BCF Hair Expo is not to be missed.

BCF6 Family Fashion Show: Style Is in Our Roots
The Family Fashion Show at the 6th Annual Black Culture Festival is more than a runway—it’s a celebration of generational style, cultural pride, and creative expression.
This year’s theme is all about fashion, and we’re inviting families to step into the spotlight and show how Black culture continues to shape trends across decades. From coordinated looks and vintage throwbacks to bold, modern streetwear—this is your chance to represent your era and your legacy.
The Family Fashion Show will feature families of all sizes and ages strutting the runway together, styled in their favorite cultural expressions. Whether you’re channeling the ‘70s, the ‘90s, or something uniquely your own, it’s all about walking with confidence and representing your roots.
