BCF Next Step Scholarship

The BCF Next Step Scholarship is an annual initiative of the Black Culture Festival dedicated to investing in the future of young leaders. We recognize that success looks different for everyone, which is why this scholarship supports graduating high school seniors who are taking the next step toward their future—whether that means attending a college or university, enrolling in a trade or vocational program, entering the workforce with a professional certification, or launching their own business as an entrepreneur.

Our mission is to remove barriers and provide meaningful support for students pursuing their goals while encouraging leadership, ambition, and community involvement. Through the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, the scholarship helps recipients take the next step with confidence.

Recipients are honored during the Black Culture Festival in front of thousands of community members, celebrating their achievements and inspiring the next generation to dream big and pursue their own path to success.

Eligibility

• Graduating high school senior
• Resident of the Greater Rochester area
• Planning to attend college, a university, trade school, vocational program, or launch a business or entrepreneurial venture
• Demonstrates leadership, community involvement, and commitment to future success
• Completes all required application materials
